Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how WAMIMS (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use our website, the WAMIMS mobile app, WAMIMS Studio, WAMIMS Watch, and the Brands & Sponsors portal.
1. Who we are
WAMIMS is a social-impact technology platform. We help creators and organizations publish campaigns, share videos, raise community support, and manage public impact accounts. Contact: wamimsworld@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account data — name, email, phone (optional), password hash, profile photo, organization details you submit.
- Usage data — pages viewed, videos watched, Spotlight votes, device/browser type, approximate location from IP, crash/diagnostic logs.
- Content you upload — campaign text, images, videos, brand promo files, payment proof images you choose to send.
- Payment references — transaction IDs and proof you upload for sponsorship (we do not store full card numbers on our servers for AdSense or brand bank transfers).
- Cookies & similar tech — session login, security CSRF tokens, preferences, and advertising cookies when Google AdSense is enabled.
3. How we use information
- Provide and secure the app, Studio, Watch, and Brand portals.
- Show your campaigns, videos, and Spotlight participation to other users as intended by the product.
- Process sponsorship requests and verify payment proofs.
- Send transactional emails (OTP, security, status updates).
- Improve product quality, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
- Display advertising via Google AdSense (when enabled) to help fund free public pages such as Watch.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
On selected public pages (for example WAMIMS Watch and the company homepage), we may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to show relevant ads based on your visits to this and other sites. We do not sell your personal account password or private messages to advertisers.
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your region, we process data to perform a contract with you, for our legitimate interests (security, product improvement, fraud prevention), with your consent (marketing cookies / personalized ads where required), or to meet legal obligations.
6. Sharing
We may share data with:
- Infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics) under confidentiality obligations.
- Google (AdSense / Google Sign-In) when you use those features.
- Authorities when required by law.
- Other users — only the public profile, campaign, and video information you publish.
7. Retention
We keep account and content data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, disputes, and legal compliance. You may request deletion subject to safety and fraud checks.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as hashed passwords, HTTPS, session controls, and access-restricted admin tools. No method of transmission is 100% secure.
9. Children’s privacy
WAMIMS is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child provided data, contact us to remove it.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location you may request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of processing, and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. Email wamimsworld@gmail.com.
11. International transfers
Servers and processors may be located outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
